The Conservation District’s Seedling Sale is an annual fundraising event for various district activities and educational programs. Customers are typically able to choose from more than 30 different varieties of trees, shrubs, berry bushes, wildflower seeds and other planting supplies. In a typical year, the district takes in close to 100 orders for more than 5,000 items.
The staff, directors, and associate directors take great care in packing and sorting every order. We will also provide planting instructions and advice for maintenance to our customers. Customers pick up their orders on a specified day at the Cherry Township Municipal Building, south of Dushore.
As part of our annual sale, we also give approximately 400 seedlings to the Sullivan County Elementary School students in grades K-6 and to the students enrolled in the Sullivan County Head Start program. These seedlings are given as part of our outreach to celebrate Arbor Day.
The 2017seedling sale is now over. The seedling descriptions are available also for more information on various species. Please be advised that this sale takes place in Sullivan County, Pennsylvania.
When you place an order for seedlings, they must be picked-up at the Cherry Township Municipal Building between 9 AM and noon on April 22. The Cherry Township Municipal Building is located on Route 87 just south of Dushore. For questions or more information, please call the district office at 570-928-7057.
A limited number of seedlings are available the day of the sale and are sold on a "first come-first served" basis.
